Summer is in full swing and luckily for us, July’s seasonal produce brings a glittering gamut of colour to liven up dishes. Expect cherries, hedgerows heavy with berries, fennel and lots of other summer salad favourites including aubergines and courgettes.
If you’re lucky enough to have a garden or outside space for some al fresco meals, then turn to easy transportable platters of food like a runner bean pasta salad or an impressive (but easy) whole fish dish.
For puddings, there should be loads of in-their-prime gooseberries, raspberries and strawberries available. Make the most of their freshness with a gooseberry pavlova, boozy raspberry eton mess or strawberry and vanilla shortcake. We have plenty of ideas for blackcurrants and redcurrants, too.
